Recently i have been thinking about the layers we create in our lives and how our homes and the spaces we use for living reflect the layers of our thoughts and beliefs.
I try hard to create narratives on the surface of my work that speak to everyone, which means, leave possibilities for each of us to interact with the forms.
The forms I make are still functional but often people like to look longer and think more about the shape and it’s story than they are used to over a cup of tea.
The larger pieces are also fun…. but thats another story.
Telling stories with the pots i make is still my main concern. Living with, and reflecting on the stories we hold, brings my pots to life.
